Dr. James J. Flood, D.C.
Dr. James J. Flood, D.C., has served the community since 1983. He graduated from New York Chiropractic College and is licensed in Maryland with chiropractic and physical therapy privileges.
He has extensive training in low back disorders, neck pain, whiplash injuries, sports injuries, and headache care. Dr. Flood was voted Chiropractor of the Year in 1987 and focuses on individualized care based on each patient’s history, examination, and lifestyle.

Dr. James J. Flood Jr., D.C., earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College.
A former Division I athlete and Assistant Strength Coach for the Washington Nationals, he has also been a certified personal trainer for more than 10 years. His background in fitness, strength training, and chiropractic care supports his focus on helping patients improve function, mobility, and overall wellness.

Meet Dr. James J. Flood
He has been serving the community since 1983. He is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College and licensed in the state Maryland with both chiropractic and physical therapy privileges. He has extensive training in the correction of low back disorders, neck pain, whiplash injuries and sports injuries.
Dr. Flood has a special interest in treating headache patients. He suffered with migraines since the age of five. “I tried every medication available but the headaches always returned. Chiropractic is the only treatment that actually got rid of my migraines and that’s the main reason why I decided to become a Chiropractor.” states Dr. Flood.
Married with four children, Dr. Flood is an active member in his community. He is a member of the Lions Club and Team Network Group. He has lectured on Success and Goal setting to high school students and speaks throughout the community on health, wellness and the prevention of illness.
Dr. James J. Flood was voted Chiropractor of the Year in 1987. His philosophy is that health care is a partnership between doctor and patient. He feels that listening to the patient and learning about their lifestyle can give great insight as to why problems develop and how they can be eliminated. Each patient is treated as an individual and a program of care is designed specifically for them based on an extensive history and a thorough examination.
Meet Dr. James J. Flood Jr
He was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. He graduated from Gaithersburg High School. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from the University of Maryland, College Park, he followed in his father’s footsteps and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College.
Growing up, Dr. James developed a passion for health and fitness. He is a former D1 athlete and Assistant Strength Coach for the Washington Nationals. He has been a certified personal trainer for over ten years. Dr. James grew up having a strong understanding of the human body and the knowledge of how to maximize one’s overall health and wellness.
His passion for chiropractic started as a kid, having grown up in a Chiropractic household. After arthroscopic hip surgery, he realized that nothing else relieved his pain the way chiropractic care did. Dr. James says, “there is nothing more powerful than a great chiropractic adjustment. I know what it is like to be in immense pain, and I know what it takes to get someone out of pain”.
Dr. James resides in Maryland with his wife, Kathryn, their two children, and their two golden retrievers, Kash and Kyro. He enjoys being active and spending time with his family.
